Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise ruled New York City this weekend – as they do most any time they’re in the Big Apple.
Mother and daughter had a busy few days: the pair took in a showing of Mary Poppins on Broadway, a bit of dining and shopping, then capped off the weekend by jetting off from a heliport.
You know, just like you do when you want to head out of the city. See More

The last weekend before Christmas is a jam-packed one for most, and not surprisingly, the Cruise-Holmes family is no exception. And in addition to all the usual Christmas festivities, it was also Katie Holmes’ 33rd birthday yesterday. Lots to do!
Poor Suri was dragged along for three late nights in a row. Friday night was the Nutcracker, Saturday evening the Rockettes’ Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and Sunday was a birthday party for Katie at Buddakan. See More

Check out Tom and Suri’s father daughter bonding day in New York City! He even let the five-year-old walk on her own for a few minutes – a big adventure, for sure.
Tom’s back from his whirlwind Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol international tour. And boy… doesn’t he look rested and rejuvenated? Seriously, he’s never looked better. People are talking.
Not me of course. I’m well-aware Xenu’s Sea Org members age backwards. All for the bargain fee of a couple hundred thousand dollars a year.

Speaking of the Cruise family, Tom is back in town. Maybe that’ll tone down whatever Suri’s going through? After a whirlwind international promo tour for Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, the family patriarch returned to New York City this morning via helicopter. Now that is how a real celeb travels. No Airtrain from JFK for this guy.
Last night Tom wrapped up MI:4′s final stop in Rio de Janeiro. You’ve gotta give serious props See More

Five-year-old Suri Cruise – and her golden high heeled shoes – threw a major temper tantrum yesterday at FAO Schwarz in New York City. We spotted the tot red faced and crying – even shouting at Katie Holmes – in the middle of the store. Certainly FAO Schwarz is the location of many childhood breakdowns. Most kids who go in there probably aren’t going to leave with the toys they wanted. Scenes ensue. Of course it’s generally agreed that parents shouldn’t give in to temper tantrums – but not surprisingly, Suri was pacified with a lollipop and toys. A good lesson learned!

We caught up with Katie Holmes as she was, once again, carrying the very able-bodied five-year-old Suri from their apartment yesterday afternoon. If I were a betting person, I’d lay some serious money down that Katie will be spotted carrying Suri until the age of 8. Always wrapped in a blanket like a 6-month-old. Totally normal.
Katie was on her way to the Ed Sullivan Theater to film Late Night With David Letterman and See More

Suri Cruise is still sticking to her busy NYC schedule. And playing hide-and-seek with the paps of course.
When we caught up with the world’s most famous five-year-old this afternoon she was being escorted (well… carried) by a nanny to the Chelsea Piers sports and entertainment complex on Manhattan’s west side – for the second time this week.
Good thing she’s not burdened with Kindergarten classes or anything!

Katie Holmes took a very lucky Suri Cruise to the American Girl store on Fifth Avenue in New York City last night. While Suri seemed to be in good spirits, she was making some very cranky faces on her way out of the store. It seems mother and daughter left empty-handed – rather unusual for a celebrity in a store. Perhaps that’s the reason for those upset expressions on Suri’s little face?
I’m guessing the trip was perhaps Christmas list-related and Suri didn’t entirely understand that. It was always a mixed blessing to go into a store during the holidays as a kid, point out all See More
