Our photographers spotted Lindsay Lohan and her former girlfriend Samantha Ronson leaving the same hotel in New York yesterday. Lindsay and Ronson left seperately and worked very hard not to be photographed together. But we know something is up.

In a wacky twist of events, Lindsay Lohan has been released from the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA and is setting up shop next door to her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Our cameras caught up with the moving trucks bringing boxes of her stuff from West Hollywood to her new Venice Beach digs.

We don’t know how or why, but INF Daily’s photographers found Samantha Ronson heading into Lindsay Lohan’s apartment. With luggage no less? What’s going on here? The two former lovers had a long and tumultuous relationship, and an even more tumultuous breakup. It’s impossible to recap it was so ridiculous and over the top.

While we don’t necessarily think Samantha’s a bad person nor that she enabled Lindsay’s addictions, it’s clear that the relationship was chaotic and unstable. Since they’ve broken up Lindsay’s thrown a drink on Samantha in a club, screamed at her, screamed at their friends… there’s no reason whatsoever to believe they’ve remained civil. So what’s Samantha doing here? Are they rekindling their romance?

We spotted Samantha Ronson looking glum following a club gig in London last night. Question is, where’s Lindsay Lohan? The out-of-work actress hasn’t been seen for a few days. Now the New York Post is reporting that she may trying to get out of showbiz altogether and concentrate on her forays into the fashion industry. It’s even rumored that she is being hired as a consultant for the house of Emanuel Ungaro. Lindsay has her own line of leggings and also produces a fake-tan product.

Looks like Samantha Ronson is putting some distance between herself and Lindsay Lohan and instead spending some time with her fam. 

We spotted SamRo with her brother Mark Ronson in New York City yesterday afternoon. The pair dined at Da Silvano with legendary rapper Q-Tip!!  Perhaps the dj’ing brother and sister are looking to collabo with the A Tribe Called Quest frontman?!  Sounds like a much better idea than doing any sort of collaborating with LiLo.

Is Samantha Ronson into dudes now?!  We spotted SamRo with Good Charlotte twin Benji Madden in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon and although I’d love to get my hopes up and think this was a date, I’m sure it was just a "friends" thing.

After all, Sam kind of looks like she could be the Madden triplet and Benji is the kind of guy who dates Paris Hilton so the chemistry might not be there.  My guess is that their coffee date was maybe more of a coffee counseling session where Benji offered his support over Sam’s recent break up with Lindsay Lohan.  Maybe he said something like to the effect of "Homegirl is CRAZY.  Let’s go look for new chicks."

Ok.  So this time Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson (seen here arguing on Valentine’s Day) are broken up for reals and it looks like Sam is taking it very seriously.

US Weekly is reporting that Sam’s mother and sister asked Beverly Hills police how they could obtain a retraining order three days after Lindsay was blocked from a family party.

"They were directed to the court to get a restraining order," Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall tells the mag.

At a party honoring Samantha’s twin sister, clothes designer Charlotte Ronson, at Bar Marmont on Friday security were told not to let Lindsay in if she showed.

Since then Lindsay has been Tweeting her little heart out and finally admitted to E! News that she and Sam have in fact split.

Sam means business though and has reportedly changed the locks on the house that LiLo has been crashing at for the last 6 months.

Yikes!  So let’s make a bet, does LiLo go back to Sam or back to men first?!

Lindsay Lohan looked very, um, happy as we spotted her very late last night.  LiLo and her main squeeze Samantha Ronson roamed the streets of Los Angeles til about 4am last night until they hopped in LiLo’s new Maserati Quattroporte.  I guess Lindsay’s Red Bull habit is really keeping her up late!
