Today was a big day for Regis Philbin – it was his last day hosting Live! With Regis & Kelly. Naturally anyone and everyone who’s ever worked with the guy has been sending congrats all week, so it was no surprise that former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford showed up to honor Reg.

Ahh summer. Days on the beach, picnics in the park, cartoony blockbuster action movies in the theaters. What a fabulous time of year. The newest action/CGI hero to hit the screens is Ryan Reynolds in The Green Lantern. Oh man, Ryan is just stupidly cute. No one needs to be that adorable.

Ryan’s cuteness is what makes him an unlikely superhero. Sure he’s got the bod (those guns are ridiculous) but he doesn’t have the kind of face that says, “let me dash into the fray and rescue the world.” His face is saying something more like, “What do you say See More

Just because they’re done dancing on Dancing with the Stars doesn’t mean that Hines Ward and Kym Johnson aren’t going to spend time together. They’re friends for life after their stint on the show. And, naturally since they won the competition, they had to go shopping and celebrate. They have a few more dollars lining the insides of their pockets, so why not head over to Louis Vuitton and get some bags. Of course, that’s in between the media obligations. INF Daily caught up with Regis Philbin in Miami airport yesterday. Philbin, who travelled with his wife Joy, went down there to attend the National Association of Television Program Executives. What a perfect place to host the conference in the middle of winter!

Regis recently announced that he’s leaving his show, Live with Regis and Kelly. Now, rumors are swirling that he made this decision because of salary cuts. The morning TV due showed they will do anything for ratings, even dodging creamy pies as part of the world pie throwing contest held on the streets of NY today.

I love Regis Philbin. Everything he says makes laugh (whether it was intentional or not) and he’s kind of out of touch and almost always mispronounces people’s names.  But sometimes, Regis is on point.  Check out what he had to say about co-host Kelly Rippa getting inspiration from the Octomom.
