Sex & the City’s London premiere was held last night, and the ladies looked glamorous (and slightly crazy… ahem Sarah Jessica’s hat) as expected. After the big showing they changed into slightly more relaxed outfits and headed over to the Orangery in Kensington.

Sarah Jessica Parker slipped into a floor-length long sleeved dress featuring a pool color print and pretty aqua-colored heels. Kim Cattrall’s shimmery black dress was fine but nothing notable. Same with Cynthia Nixon’s, which was a shame because her blue premiere dress was a lovely color that flattered her skin tone nicely. It was just there. Kristin Davis’ pretty forest-green dress had a lovely full skirt that highlighted her slim waist. We thought it suited her much better than the gold Vegas-esq gown she wore to the premiere.

Lee DeWyze won the ninth season of American Idol last night. The voting was incredibly close – just a two percent difference between him and the judges’ favorite, Crystal Bowersox. DeWyze got compliments from the judges for his continued improvement throughout the season. His vocals weren’t as strong as Crystal’s, even in the final performance, but he still pulled through.

American Idol voters have long favorited the underdog, and DeWyze proves it. The raspy-voiced Illinois native worked hard and viewers noticed. But it seems to be a common feeling that Crystal Bowersox ultimately has more talent.

The finale was follwed up by the American Idol after party at Skybar, which was naturally a rocking event. This was Simon Cowell’s last show and lots of celebrities and past contestants showed up to the show and the party to say goodbye. In addition to Simon, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi, and Ellen DeGeneres, INF Daily’s photographers found Bret Michaels, Will Young, Bo Bice, Lori Loughlin, Lacey Brown, Janice Dickinson, Jason Castro, Michael McDonald, Kimberly Caldwell, Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, Alice Cooper, Carrie Undwerwood, Terri Seymour, Blake Lewis, Kristy Lee Cook, Victoria Justice,Raquel Welch, Jordin Sparks, Justin Guarini, all celebrating at AI events last night.

Last night INF Daily’s London photographers found Gwyneth Paltrow, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Macpherson, Thandie Newton, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Anjelica Huston with Jerry Hall, Claire Forlani with Dougray Scott, Pixie Geldoff, and Sophie Dahl partying it up at a gala dinner celebrating the relaunch of the Louis Vuitton store on Bond Street in London.

Gwyneth looked especially pretty in a gray Louis Vuitton dress with a plunging keyhole neckline and a full circle skirt. Her swept back hair was perfect (if a little stiff), her makeup was stunning… overall a flawless appearance. Gemma Arterton looked beautiful and feminine in a warm rose-colored boatneck dress from next season’s Louis Vuitton collection, while Kirsten Dunst wore a dark blue corseted LV dress that was perhaps a couple of inches too long for her.

Creative director Marc Jacobs sang backup to Donna Summer for a bit while celebs shopped through the store’s elaborate rooms, which were decorated by a local theater company. One room was a pine forest that had a luxury tent where a genie-type lady served absinthe; another was decked out to look like a vintage shipping port; another was a mini-harem. There was a "bag bar," that had stools positioned in front of rotating racks of purses. Oh, and a VIP apartment for shoppers above the store.

Who says there’s a recession going on?

Madonna put her best leather jacket through her favorite shredder for an evening out at nightclub Aura in London last night. The singer thew a huge thank you party for her backup dancers on her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. She flew all 18 of them to London, then took them out for dinner at Supperclub in Notting Hill. Madge shelled out for bottles of Cristal champagne that arrived with sparklers in the neck.

Afterwards they headed to Aura where Madonna, 51, easily kept up with dancers half her age.

“The evening was a thank-you to her team after their hard work on her recent tour,” a source told British newspaper The Evening Standard. “Madonna didn’t have any of her own extra security. She was happy to mix with the dancers on the dance floor and filmed them doing elaborate routines in front of a gawping crowd.”

The group spent most of the evening showing off their moves on the dance floor, with Madonna encouraging them to hold dance offs. It’s not the first time the singer has pitted the dancers against each other – she did the same at Guy Oseary’s annual Oscar’s bash in Hollywood earlier this year. (via Indy Posted)

Madonna’s on-again-off-again boyfriend Jesus Luz was nowhere in sight. She also got a parking ticket for leaving her car unattended in the middle of the road.
