Woah, this is possibly some very heavy stuff. Mariah Carey just tweeted a photo of herself laying in husband Nick Cannon’s hospital bed along with the note: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure.” Which is sort of confusing, because there really isn’t such a thing as “mild” kidney failure. Unless Mariah is using the wrong term for Nick’s condition, which is totally possible. She might mean he has a kidney infection, or kidney stones. But if it’s kidney failure, it really can’t be mild by definition.

Not surprisingly, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon went to insane lengths to protect their investment make sure no one got a picture of their newborn twins.
After all, they can’t sell the pics to magazines for millions of dollars if someone snaps the babies first! Not only did they keep each of the babies’ carriers covered with a blanket, but Nick and Mariah actually had hospital staff wheel out those dividing curtains that are used in between beds in the emergency room AND they tied additional sheets to them. Then mom, dad, and babies walked behind this super See More
New dad Nick Cannon was spotted filling up his gas tank after visiting his wife of three years, Mariah Carey. As you probably know, she just gave birth to twins. Nick is going to be filling up a lot since he’s going to be at the hospital often. Cannon doesn’t even look old enough to be a father but that sideways baseball cap kind of gives away his age. That’s so 80s!
The birth of Cannon and Carey’s children happened to fall on their wedding anniversary. So in the hospital the two decided to renew their vows. Not See More
Yesterday Mariah Carey released the tantalizing information that both of her twins’ names started with M. Not to be totally bitchy, but we pretty much assumed that’d be the case. Today she and husband Nick Cannon announced that they’ve named their son Moroccan Scott and their daughter Monroe Cannon. The latter sounds like some kind of revolutionary war reference. Whoops.
No explanation was given for the first names, but Mariah and Nick did go into the reasoning behind the middle names. See More
Nick Cannon hit up Extra in L.A. today. What’s he promoting? The upcoming release from Mariah Carey’s womb, naturally. Nick might have something more official to chat about for ten seconds (turns out he’s there for the official countdown for the first chime of Kellogg’s cuckoo clock), but we all know the real reason is to fill in the world on his twins, who are dropping due in late April or early May. Who knew a birth/album release joke could work out that well?
And guess who they told first? The president of the United States and the First Lady. Because you know no one else was important enough to share that classified information with. Twinsies! We can just imagine Obama, all giddy, squealing with his fists in the air. An undignified scene, to say the least. Mariah let the news slip privately to the Obamas when she filmed a Christmas special at the White House, which is airing this Friday.

The longest-speculated pregnancy ever has finally been confirmed: Mariah Carey is indeed pregnant. Though since people have been wondering if the singer had a bun in the oven for well over a year, it actually hasn’t been a secret for that long. Mariah, 41, will confirm to Access Hollywood (snippets were shown in a preview on The Today Show this morning) that she’s expecting, though she won’t say how far along she is. However it’s believed the diva is about four months.
