Since the news of Heath Ledger’s death on Tuesday, fans have left tokens of their sorrow and appreciation for the actor.  In front of both Heath’s Soho apartment and Michelle’s Brooklyn apartment, fans have set up make shift memorials with flowers, candles, collages and this touching note of encouragement with a teddy bear for Matilda.
Heath’s parents are expected to arrive in the U.S. today, sources say he will be buried in Australia.

Michelle and Matilda arrived back from Sweden and made their way back to their Brooklyn home last night.  Michelle, with Matilda cradled in her arms, pulled up in black SUV and was ushered into the the townhouse that she and Heath once shared.
The details of when and where Heath’s funeral have not yet be confirmed.  Check back with INF as this tragedy continues to unfold.

Maybe the saddest part of Heath Ledger’s death, is the fact that he has left behind a little girl.  Matilda Rose only had the opportunity to know her father for 2 short years before his untimely death yesterday.  Family and friends said that Heath loved Matlida very much and was the epitome of a doting father.
Heath met his the mother of his child and former fiancee Michelle Williams on the set of Brokeback Mountain, in which the two played a married couple.  Michelle gave birth to their daughter Matlida on October 28, 2005.  Since her birth they had divided their time between Brooklyn, L.A. and Sydney. 
After they split in 2007, Michelle kept their Brooklyn family home and Heath moved to an apartment in New York’s trendy Soho neighborhood.  Even though they weren’t together, the pair still put Matilda first, and both parents could often be seen playing with daughter in parks and taking her for walks all around New York.
Eerily, in an interview conducted with Heath shortly before his death, he said he was okay with dying, because he felt like he could live on through his daughter. And sadly he also added that of course he wanted to stick around because he wanted to see her grow up.  Although Matilda Rose is only 2, she already bears a striking resemblance to her father, especially with her fair features. 

Now Michelle will have the responsibility of raising little Matilda all by herself.  A source close to Michelle told People, "Michelle will have to deal with having a daughter who’s lost her father. She’s a survivor. She’ll make it, but it’s going to be hard. Her first concern is going to be Matilda."

We caught up with a visibly upset Carla Williams (Michelle’s mom), as she was leaving Michelle’s Brooklyn apartment.  Michelle and Heath at one time shared the apartment with their daughter, Matilda Rose, after the two split last fall, Heath moved to Soho.

Michelle Williams was shooting a movie in Sweden when got the news of Heath’s death, a close source says she is "devastated".  She has headed back to the U.S.

An autopsy is set to be performed today on the star’s body to determine the cause of death.  Check back with INF Daily as we receive more details about the very tragic and untimely passing of Heath Ledger.

While her estranged hubby Heath Ledger is whoring it around town with fading supermodel Helena Christensen, Michelle Williams is holding her head up high and looking after their toddler like a good parent. Okay, so little Matilda isn’t the cutest kid on the block, but we respect the way her mom is handling her marriage breakdown from ol’ misery-guts Ledger. Michelle looks great and we’re sure it won’t be long before she finds a better daddy for her daughter!
