Dancing With The Stars really takes its toll on its contestants and unfortunately Melissa Rycroft is the latest victim.  Mel has sustained a hair line fracture to her rib that caused her to sit out Monday night’s competition.  We spotted Melissa leaving a medical center in Los Angeles on Tuesday night with her boyfriend Ty Strickland after receiving some treatment.

Luckily, Melissa is expected to recover and wants to return to DTWS and thanks to some sympathetic judges, she and partner Tony Dovolani were able to stay in the game. 

"My heart went out to the judges because they had to base their comments on us making a routine!" Tony told US Weekly. "It wasn’t even dress rehearsal, it was orchestra rehearsal! And we had already done it three times, so I told her to take it easy on that one. I mean, talk about bad luck! But, you know, I never question what God puts in front of me. So if this is what I have to go through, then this is what I have to go through. God always picks strong people to go through these situations, so I guess I’m the one."

We spotted Melissa Rycroft wearing a "Don’t Mess With Texas" t-shirt after a Dancing With The Stars practice in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.  Mel decided to refuel with a little fast food, stopping at Jack In The Box.

For the first time, Melissa and her partner Tony Dovovlani fell out of the top 3 with the judges. Carrie Ann Iba told Mel that her Paso Doble "needed more curve", right….well maybe that’s why Melissa stopped for french fires!

Getting rejected by The Bachelor was probably the best thing that every happened to Melissa Rycroft. 

We spotted Melissa getting brunch with a friend at Los Angeles hot spot Toast on Sunday afternoon.  Melissa might soon be a familiar face around Hollywood since becoming a front runner on Dancing With The Stars and gracing the covers of both People and US Weekly!  See, being dumped ain’t so bad.

If you watched this season of The Bachelor (you can just admit it because there were literally millions of you) you know that a major issue between Melissa and Jason was that Melissa’s parents did not want to meet Jason on camera.  Melissa claimed that she had a great relationship with her ‘rents and we were all like, "yeah, suuuuure you do" and starting to think that this girl was raised by wolves, but guess what?  They’ve surfaced!

We spotted the dissed Bachelor fiance-turned-Dancing With The Stars-sweetheart Melissa Rycroft walking down the street in Los Angeles over the weekend with her parents!  Mel carried a DSW bag and was sporting a heart ring on left ring finger; what’s that about?!

The Rycrofts look like a pretty normal bunch and now that we see what a douche Jason Mesnick turned out to be, we give props to Mom and Dad for having the forsight to not want to get tangled into that mess!  It’s weird how parents do know things sometimes…

Comeback kid Melissa Rycroft has been working hard to slip into the competition on Dancing With The Stars. 

We spotted Mel with her dance partner Tony Dovolani as they left rehearsal in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon to recharge with some lunch.  So far Melissa has scored a 26 for her waltz; somewhere Jason Mesnick is kicking himself.

Not only does Bachelor reject Melissa Rycroft have a gig on super popular Dancing With The Stars, she’s also got a new man!  We spotted Mel leaving DWTS practice over the weekend with her new man, Ty, and they look pretty happy together.  Go Melissa!
