SARAH JESSICA PARKER, KIM CATTRALL, CYNTHIA NIXON & KRISTIN DAVIS HIT UP ‘SEX & THE CITY’ AFTERPARTY

Sex & the City’s London premiere was held last night, and the ladies looked glamorous (and slightly crazy… ahem Sarah Jessica’s hat) as expected. After the big showing they changed into slightly more relaxed outfits and headed over to the Orangery in Kensington.

Sarah Jessica Parker slipped into a floor-length long sleeved dress featuring a pool color print and pretty aqua-colored heels. Kim Cattrall’s shimmery black dress was fine but nothing notable. Same with Cynthia Nixon’s, which was a shame because her blue premiere dress was a lovely color that flattered her skin tone nicely. It was just there. Kristin Davis’ pretty forest-green dress had a lovely full skirt that highlighted her slim waist. We thought it suited her much better than the gold Vegas-esq gown she wore to the premiere.

Also pictured at the afterparty are Chris Noth, Daisy Lowe, and Amanda Holden.

KRISTIN DAVIS WEARS SEE-THROUGH BLOUSE TO UK’S NATIONAL MOVIE AWARDS

The stars were out in London last night for the third annual National Movie Awards at the Royal Festival Hall. The awards are voted on by the general public, similar to the People’s Choice Awards in the U.S (though the People’s Choice covers both television and movies).

Kristin Davis attended the awards, probably just because she’s in London for the Sex and the City 2 premiere tonight. Maybe she was feeling like she wouldn’t get any attention without a nomination – which would explain her see-through blouse? Her bra was austere and sturdy, but still… we found it a rather surprising move.

The Twilight series was the big winner last night, taking home prizes for Best Fantasy Film for New Moon and Most Anticipated Film for Eclipse. Robert Pattinson won Best Performance, though he wasn’t able to be at the event due to his filming commitments for Water for Elephants in Fillmore, California.

Gwenyth Paltrow was at the ceremony to give Tom Cruise the Screen Icon Award. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince won Best Family Film, and Sherlock Holmes won for Best Action/Thriller film.

KRISTIN DAVIS & SARAH JESSICA PARKER IN LONDON AHEAD OF ‘SEX & THE CITY 2′ PREMIERE

The ladies of Sex and the City 2 arrived in London today in preparation for the film’s British premiere tomorrow night. Sarah Jessica Parker looked pretty good considering she just got off the plane after a seven hour red eye flight. The actress was decked out in gray skinny jeans, a lighter gray sweatshirt and a gray bag. Do we sense a theme here? The outfit was brightened considerably by her peppy hot pink and purple printed scarf.

Kristin Davis was spotted out and about in London today too, and if it weren’t for the herd of photographers following her around she could have gone unnoticed. Davis was wearing blue jeans topped off with a cozy-looking dark gray cape and aviator shades. The ladies are doing press for the film today, tomorrow, and Friday – though given the nature of their SATC characters, it’s probably safe to assume they’ll get some shopping in there too.

Sarah Jessica Parker & ‘Sex & the City’ Cast Still Look Fabulous at Press Conference

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon attended the Sex & the City press conference at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City yesterday. And while all the ladies looked fabulous (as expected) they couldn’t chatter over one small problem: the film is getting pretty bad reviews.

The resulting drama is, unfortunately, reduced to a mishmash of goofy hijinks. When the “SATC 2″ quartet finally bonds with their Abu Dhabi counterparts it’s through – seriously – fashion. (via the Daily News)

Abu Dhabi? Yes. Do we need to explain? Not really, no. Sex & the City has always required the viewer to suspend disbelief. But as the Daily News points out, it’s never been harder to do so than now. Watching Carrie and company shop their cares away over the last two years while the rest of the country has been scrimping and saving – well, it’s a little hard to digest.
Something tells us that, given the fan base, the film will still rake in enough cash to keep the girls in Manolos for at least one more film.

SATC 2: THE GIRLS ARE BACK TOGETHER

Sex and the City fans had cause to celebrate this morning as the cast reunited for the first time since filming began last week in Manhattan.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis were all smiles for the cameras as more scenes for SATC2 were shot in the city.

Despite the ongoing rumors that some of the ladies don’t really see eye-to-eye, it was group hugs and kisses all-round as they met up.

They looked like one big happy family all over again…but there’s plenty of time for the squabbles to start.

SPORTS: CELEBS BRING STAR POWER TO THE NBA FINALS

Basketball is soooo retro lately. Celts v. Lakers, how 80s! Unfortunately the stars did not dress accordingly and showed up in clothes of the millennium.  Seriously, wouldn’t sports be way more interesting if there were costumes to go with it? I would have LOVED to see someone rock an emerald green, satin Celtics jacket or maybe some purple and yellow Zubaz.  Alas, no one listens to my good ideas, so let’s talk about who showed up.
The Lakers won the game 87-81 after being cheered on by all their celebrity (fair weather) fans.  Fergie, Toby Maguire and Kristin Davis (yeah, I’m sure she’s a hardcore Lakers fanatic) all came out to the game as well as Jon Voight and son James Haven; I guess sports can heal even the deepest of familial wounds!  Thankfully there were some Boston fans there, none other than New Kids, Joey McIntyre and Donnie Wahlberg.  BEAT L.A.!

SEX PREMIERES IN THE CITY

The Sex and the City movie made its grand premiere last night, returning to the city that some call the "fifth" character.  Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis walked the pink carpet in a blaze of glitz and glamor (although I have to say, something about the pink carpet and the shiny black back drop made it seem like the entrance to Lace (gentleman’s club) in Times Square).   The ladies did look good, but no one impressed me as much as Jennifer Hudson; her hair and dress were so young and fresh.  Speaking of looking young (but not in a good way), what was up with Lil Kim’s dress? Those fluorescent colors remind me a Jet Set shorts set I would rock back in the early 90s (although I guess it should be enough that her nip isn’t hanging out…baby steps)!

SEX AND THE CITY PREMIERE HITS LONDON

Sex and The City: The Movie has officially premiered and (as evidenced by Sarah Jessica Parker’s hat) the madness has officially begun!  SJP, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall graced the red carpet in front of the Odeon Cinema in London to attend the screening of the movie that has been buzzed about since the show’s finale four years ago.  Opening May 30 stateside, you can check out the trailer here (if somehow you still haven’t!)
