January Jones gave birth just four weeks ago today, and she’s already back on the set of Mad Men for her first day of work. I’m tempted to say Jones is (very understandably) still working on shedding the baby weight – but that could be the result of the period outfit the show’s costume department has stuck her in. A floral mumu never made anyone look slimmer, though it was certainly classic maternity wear back in the sixties.

A pregnant January Jones went to get a manicure in her home town of Los Feliz yesterday. It seemed like a routine trip to the salon but as she was leaving, she needed a police escort to her car. We’re guessing she wanted a little more protection. From what, exactly, we really don’t know.
Over the weekend, Jones was treated to a baby shower in Malibu by some friends including her Mad Men co-star Christina Hendricks. The baby is due sometime in the fall, so it seems a little early for a shower. But then, January may have a few of these. This could be the first shower of many for Jones. We caught up with Mad Men star January Jones getting some lunch yesterday in Los Angeles with friends. For people who love themselves a bit of jailbait but don’t want the hassle of going to court, January has the perfect look for them. Jones was wearing a flowing short white dress that just covered her derriere. Of course, January is so pale you almost don’t notice. Despite being in her 30s, Jones manages to look about 14 in the outfit.
