Anyone who is anyone in Hollywood clamored for a spot at the Bafta Brits to Watch Event over the weekend. And it’s not because they were particularly interested in finding the next “Colin Firth”. All the Hollywood A-listers wanted to meet Prince William and his lovely wife Catherine.
High honors went to Nicole Kidman and Barbra Streisand who sat at their table. But other guests in attendance were Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez (who wore the most unflattering dress on the planet!), Blake Lively, Elizabeth Banks, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms, Jack Black and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
Hey there Jack, why don’t you slow down a bit. Watching Black on the red carpet doing all these crazy kung fu moves is terrifying. Jack Black could have a heart attack any minute. It must be really annoying to bill yourself as ‘the wacky guy’ and then always have to come through with the whack attack. Well, we find it annoying.

The red carpet outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood was packed with a-list celebrities yesterday to celebrate the premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2. The animated sequel sees the return of Jack Black and Angelina Jolie voicing the heros, Po and Tigress. Rounding out the cast were Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu and even Dustin Hoffman. The cast had fun posing with a giant panda that also graced the red carpet.

We cannot lie: even grabbing onto a large plushie panda for the Kung Fu Panda 2 premiere at Cannes, Angelina Jolie is distractingly gorgeous. We want to say other things about her and talk about her life or her movie or whatever. But it’s so hard, when all we can think about is how pretty Angie is. Luckiest. Plushie. Ever.

INF Daily spotted Jack Black and family at the Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills yesterday. We know Jack likes to roughhouse with the kids, which is great, but maybe he could try tucking in his shirt first. His son was climbing all over him and taking his shirt along for the ride, revealing a large white belly that, frankly, no one needs to see.

INF Daily spotted Jack Black and his wife Tanya Haden in Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills. The couple took their two sons to play, and it looks like Jack had more fun than the boys! Dressed up in a train engineer outfit (minus the bandana), Black was photographed going down the slide, playing in the sand pit, and tossing a frisbee with the kids.
It’s not as if Jack doesn’t ever get to act like a child and make wacky faces for the camera. Just watch any of his movies. He must love playing the big kid and this is great acting prep.
Here are the first glimpses of Jack Black on the UK set of Gulliver’s Travels. The modern re-working of the classic fairytale follows travel writer Lemuel Gulliver (Black) as he finds himself marooned in the land of Lilliput, where he’s a giant compared to the tiny citizens. It also stars Emily Blunt, Billy Connolly and Amanda Peet. Looks hilarious.

I know those of us under the age of 18 sometimes forget that were movies stars before the Zac Effrons and Chace Crawfords of the world, but there are actually actors out there, who are older than 35 years old! And they’re not all wrinkly and decrepit! Some of them are quite funny actually (and quite handsome), like Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr. (swoon) and Ben Stiller who walked the red carpet at the MTV movie awards last night. The trio star in the new movie Tropic Thunder, a movie in which, "Through a series of freak occurrences, a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying." Also on hand was host Mike Myers. I was psyched to see him bring Dana Carvey back for a Wayne’s World skit ("It’s been a long time…yeah, like 14 years!").
