Lost Boys actor Corey Haim was laid to rest today during a private funeral service in his Canadian hometown.

Haim, who had a history of drug abuse, died last week after collapsing at his mother’s Los Angeles home.

This morning the 38-year-old was remembered by around 200 family and friends in Toronto.

A memorial service is also planned in LA where it’s expected a number of his celebrity friends, such as close pal Corey Feldman, will attend.

Sources say Haim reportedly collapsed in the bedroom of his mother’s apartment and four prescription bottles were found nearby.

According to the TMZ website,  Corey had been sick with flu-like symptoms.

We’re told no illicit drugs were found in the apartment.

Sources say Haim got out of bed just before 1 AM and collapsed in front of his mother. She called 911 at 12:53 AM and Corey was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 AM.

TMZ is reporting that Corey’s mom told authorities he had been battling prescription drug addiction for years.
