INF Daily caught Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas out for a walk this morning in New York City. The two haven’t been seen together publicly much since Michael was diagnosed with stage IV throat cancer three months ago, but today they ventured out on a chilly morning. Though he’s clearly lost a lot of weight after undergoing chemo and radiation, Douglas is still looking remarkably healthy.

When they noticed photographers Catherine and Michael separated like high schoolers caught making out during gym class. What’s that about?

We caught up with Michael Douglas as he left his Manhattan apartment this morning, and the actor looked quite good. Despite reports from his friend Oliver Stone that his health was still “precarious” (Stone’s account was quickly denied by Douglas’ camp), the actor was in a cheerful mood and looked reasonably energetic. Now at the end of his treatment for throat cancer, Douglas has obviously lost weight, but appears better than expected.

INF Daily found Catherine Zeta-Jones as she ran errands and went shopping with her parents in Manhattan late this morning. The actress started off her day by walking daughter Carys to school, then taking the exceptionally poufy family dog for a jaunt in the park. Then the Welsh actress and her mum and dad, Patricia and David Jones, headed to upscale interior design store Holly Hunt where they browsed for a bit.

INF Daily found Catherine Zeta-Jones arriving at New York’s JFK Airport after a long flight from the UK. The Welsh actress appeared unsteady on her feet as she made her way through the airport.

Zeta-Jones was obviously very upset by the presence of photographers waiting for her outside JFK’s terminal. There was a bit of a scuffle between airport personnel and photographers as they tried to push photogs aside to make way for Zeta-Jones. Our photographers caught up with Catherine Zeta-Jones today as she was leaving her Manhattan apartment on her way to perform in a matinee of "A Little Night Music" on Broadway. The revival also co-stars Angela Lansbury. Zeta-Jones has received mixed reviews for her performance – some great, some mediocre, but none slamming her.

Yesterday Catherine performed instead of attending her stepson Cameron Douglas’ sentencing for distributing meth and cocaine. It’s anyone’s guess why she did so, though Michael’s ex-wife/Cameron’s mother Diandra Douglas attended with him. Zeta-Jones refused to answer photographers’ questions about it yesterday or comment on how Cameron and Michael are doing today.

British actress Catherine Zeta-Jones certainly knows how to make a fashion statement every time she sets foot outside her New York apartment these days.

If she’s not walking her dogs in skintight leggings and shades, she’s normally in designer black chic, looking like a screen legend from the 1930s – or black leather pants like a well-off version of someone Jesse James might like to spend time with.

To be honest, sometimes her fashion choices have been shockingly wrong.

But she gave our photographer the shock of his life today when she strolled out in the spring sunshine in a stunning blue dress and black high heels.

And where was she going…?

Shopping, of course.
