The Council of Fashion Designers of America held their annual awards last night, which means a bunch of pretty people dressed up to complement each other on looking even prettier. And they did a damn good job. Marc Jacobs won the Womenswear Designer of the Year, while Marcus Wainwright and David Neville won the Menswear Designer of the Year. Michael Kors won the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, and Iman won the Fashion Icon Award.

Somehow we like the way Madonna did it better. Rihanna seems to have given up on her never-ending quest to be edgier than everyone else on the pop charts.
