Cute as a Button Award

Abigail Breslin is probably one of my favorite famous people right now, and she's 11.  I was basically sold after her performance in Little Miss Sunshine (that character is very reminiscent of me as a child; long brown hair, loves to dance and a little spazzy) but it was an interview she gave on Regis and Kelly that really impressed me.  She described with unbridled enthusiasm how excited she was to be in the American Girl Doll movie, and that she was herself a huge fan of a doll and the books.  How refreshing is that?  She can act and she's poised but still remains what she is, a little girl.  I have high hopes for her and pray that she doesn't end up as another Lindsay.  The Parent Trap has been on cable a lot lately and its crazy too see how far she's fallen, even from when she made Mean Girls. 
But I digress.  She is pictured here with her brother Spencer at the New York premiere of National Treasure: Book of Secrets.  I know it sounds like I'm going all soft with this post, but I thought I should give a shout out to some real talent, amongst my posts of Unfitney and Speidi.
