A Royal Affair

Queen Sofia Spanish Institute Gold Medal Gala was held last night in NYC and amongst the honorees was Penelope Cruz.  I have to say, I think she looks magnificent.  I want to hang out with her and have her make me over and help me with my Spanish so I could be as charming as she is.  I love the giant bow on the back of the dress; giant bows are something that you can't wear everyday but she is owning that bow.  In fact, I think think giant bows should be the new accessory of 2008.  Most of the guests were on the "mature" side if you get what I mean, but they did all look pretty classy.  Queen Sofia herself looked pretty awesome all in red, and she had a Faberge egg purse!  Amazing!  If Hilary Clinton starts dressing like that I promise to blog about her all the time.
