Happy Independence Day blog fans!  July 4, is the day we set aside each year to commemorate when we won our independence from England way back in 1776, U-S-A!

But besides celebrating our freedom we can also celebrate the other things that make this country great, like celebrities.  What would our society be today with out Paris, LiLo, Brit Brit, Heidi and all the other reality whores, I mean uber talented stars? Shows like Gossip Girl and songs like Lollipop are woven into the fabric of this great nation. 

So tomorrow afternoon when you're snacking on a hot dog, popping open a PBR or watching the fireworks with a loved one, think about your favorite celeb...sure, "talent" may be a term to use loosely this day in age, but what the hell else would you do all day at work if you didn't have these fools to look at?!

There's something vapid and bird-like about this woman that just rings so familiar to me...could it be? Yes! It's Paris, giving us the most pathetic attempt at being media-shy shot ever.  We spotted P. Hiltz at Club Marquee in Manhattan before "sneaking" out the back door and then heading to Club 1 Oak until almost 5 a.m.  Seriously, is it even worth it to try and pretend you don't like your picture taken?  Just save your bony arms and put your bag down.

   

Paris Hilton seems to have found her inner peace; she drives a hybrid Tahoe, is drinking juice and walks serenely with a smile as she's mobbed by tons of paparazzi.  We spotted P. Hiltz making a stop at Jamba Juice in Beverly Hills yesterday.  Check out Paris as she merely laughs and waves as she makes her way through throngs of photographers, she must sippin' on one mellow smoothie!

    

Paris Hilton and her blinged out ring finger made an appearance at The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday with boyfriend Benji in tow. Paris stopped to sign autographs for fans, including one guy (construction worker maybe?) who got her to sign his orange vest!  The signature read "That's Hot".  He's gonna be the coolest guy hanging out at the scaffolding!

     

Wedding rings, they're the hop topic of the day; some are comin' off, and some are goin' on! Paris Hilton, who is in NYC to promote her new line of hair extensions, has been spotted with two very sparkly diamond bands on her left ring finger.  Despite their meaningful placement on her left digit, Paris denies that she and boyfriend Benji are engaged but says however that "No, it's just a present. He's sweet."
Hmmm...no wedding bells yet for P.Hiltz and BM but both have expressed their desire to get married and Paris added, "I've grown up a lot. I'm at peace...He's changed my life in every way. I'm happy."

   

Yup, they're still together.  Paris "wife material" Hilton and Benj "really lucky" Madden arrived in New York yesterday.  The couple have not specifically said they have plans to wed, however Benji recently said about marrying the heiress "nothing would make me happier."  Well, best of luck then!

     

Since yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, the day Mexican army was victorious over the French in 1862, it was only fitting that young Hollywood come out and get sloppy with some tequila! Benji and Joel Madden hosted/spun at the Hornitos' Cinco De Mayo Party held at club Crown in Los Angeles last evening and everyone from Paris to LiLo to Lauren Conrad were there; actually, that was about everyone.  Lauren and Lo looked particularly sloppy and Lindsay, well....rumor is that she was trying to cozy up to Joel, despite having her weird non-girlfriend Samantha Ronson by her side.  Points for Paris, btw, for sitting in the passengers seat!  All in all it basically looked exactly as a tequila-fueled rager should.

         

We spotted Miz Hilton at Kitson yesterday to promote her new clothing line.  The heiress did some shopping and even put on a t-shirt with her face on it; now why can't I get away with that?

      

Did Paris and Benji completely forgo the step of engagement and skip straight to marriage? How modern!  We spotted P. Hiltz on Robertson Blvd. yesterday, chatting away on her cell phone and wearing a silver band on her left ring finger.  Are they married, just thinking about it or trying to toy with our emotions?  Personally I don't care what Paris and Benji do as long as it doesn't involve spawning any offspring.

Marriage and babies spread like fire in Hollywood, so it wouldn't really surprise me if the reigning couple of photo ops decided to get hitched.  Rumors have been flying for a couple of weeks that Paris and Benji may be engaged; when spotted in London yesterday the two noticeably had matching initial rings on their left ring fingers.  (She wears BM and he wears PH)  I don't think people much care whether they do or not, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that having a baby would NOT be good p.r.!
