KANYE WEST LOVES TO LOCK DOWN LETTERMAN
Submitted by Mary Beth on Tue, 2008-11-25 10:58.We spotted Kanye West in what seemed to be a good mood as he arrived to the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City last night.
Kanye walked away with two statues at the American Music Awards Sunday night. At the podium, he told the audience that he wanted to be Elvis Presley; Kanye has got some catching up to do but his song "Love Lockdown" off his new album 808's and Heartbreak is currently number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100!
Check out the clip of "Love Lockdown" on Letterman below!
KANYE'S OUT!

After being booked for vandalism yesterday after breaking two cameras at LAX, Kanye West is in Hawaii.
The rapper and his assistant were brought to a Culver City, Calif. jail and Kanye was released on $20,000 bail. 'Ye then hopped a plane outta Van Nuys and jetted to Hawaii.
The hot tempered lyricist briefly blogged about the incident saying, "We back in the lab!!! I'm cool with the paparazzi. This guy wasn't cool. I gotta work now... I'll rant later!"
Can't wait to hear his side of things, especially since he was caught on tape!
KANYE WEST ARRESTED AT LAX
Submitted by Mary Beth on Thu, 2008-09-11 12:30.
Kanye West and his assistant were arrested in LAX airport this morning for felony vandalism.
According to TMZ, Kanye got angry when a photographer tried to snap him as he was coming through the American Airlines terminal. Allegedly the rapper flew off the handled and grabbed the photog's camera and smashed it to the ground.
The photog then began videotaping the scene and Kanye's assistant grabbed that camera and smashed and broke that as well.
TMZ reports that when Kanye realized the photographer had videotaped the incident, he yelled, "Gimme that f----g tape!"
Check out TMZ's footage of Kanye loosing his shit. Guess Kanye forgot to take his self-control pills this morning!
KANYE AND JAY-Z ARE MARC JACOBS FANS
Submitted by Mary Beth on Tue, 2008-09-09 15:27.
Marc Jacobs certainly draws an interesting cross section of who's hot in the entertainment biz these days. We saw Posh, JLo, Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie and rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West turn up for Marc's show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week last night.
Jigga went casual in a t-shirt, jeans and sidewards Yankees hat while Kanye donned a suit. Kanye may have been dressed up, but I'm not sure if I dig the nerd look on him, its like Steve Urkel meets Boyz II Men.
I miss Boyz II Men, does anyone else? Let's have a throwback moment, shall we. From 1991, here's Kanye's style icons, Boyz II Men and "Motownphilly".
STARS GET BUTTERED UP IN NYC
Submitted by Mary Beth on Tue, 2008-05-13 15:08.
Something must be in the water at club Butter because the stars looked absolutely giddy to be hanging out! In all honesty, I don't think I've ever seen Jay-Z smile this big, usually he's got his "cool" face on, much like his pal Kanye who of course acted like he was over it. Maybe Kanye should have just stayed home, cuz like they say on Gossip Girl, "The only thing cooler than going to Butter, is not going to Butter."
Sharing smiles with Jay were SNLers Will Forte and Seth Meyers, who struck an Olan Mills like pose for our photogs (Lindsay Price strode along side them). P.Diddy was somewhere in the middle acting neither elated nor smug, mostly just fashionable.
PETE AND JONAH CUDDLE UP AT BAPE
Submitted by Mary Beth on Thu, 2008-04-24 13:34.The BAPE store had a dude-stastic opening in Los Angeles last night. The company's founder Nigo was on hand as well patrons of the store including Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and Jermaine Dupri. The company is famous for its streetwear; hoodies and sneakers, as well as man on man love apparently.
Hey Pharrell, Can You Hear Me Now?
Submitted by Mary Beth on Fri, 2008-02-01 12:05.Kanye: What the Fiddy you lookin' at?
Submitted by INF on Thu, 2007-09-13 11:20.
The much-anticipated battle between rappers 50 Cent and Kanye West began in full force when we caught up with the pair in NYC. It didn't look like there was too much love lost between the hip-hop stars and Fiddy even joked to Kanye, ''He's nervous,'' as their battle over who will sell the most albums began. Let's have a clean fight guys.
