Love those American Idol kids! In their quest for pop domination, the American Idols Live tour stopped in Sunrise, Fla. yesterday to a packed crowd of idol worshipers. The two Davids, winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta, reigned supreme while finalists like Syesha Mercardo and Jason Castro each got their turn singing and dancing along side them.
Next stop on the tour is Houston, Tx and the Idols will play straight through September, finishing up in Oklahoma.
THE DAVIDS DO TODAY!
Submitted by Mary Beth on Thu, 2008-05-29 13:42.American Idol winner David Cook and runner up David Archuleta hit up the Today show this morning as part of their summer concert series. The Davids (as they shall be known) are taking this show on the road and will do a national tour. While neither one specifically appeals to my musical tastes, I have to say they are absolutely adorable together! If their performances start include choreographed dances and matching outfits, I'm totally getting tickets.
THE DAVIDS DESCEND UPON NEW YORK CITY
Submitted by Mary Beth on Tue, 2008-05-27 11:25.American Idol winner David Cook and runner up David Archuleta both arrived in the Big Apple yesterday to begin the whirlwind that is comes with the title of being a finalist! The two Davids, who will be playing the Today Show among other stops this week, are such good pals now that they even rode the same plane together! (Although (and I don't want to get all morbid or anything) haven't we learned that you can't put two different performers on the same flight?! Ya know, the day the music died, etc...) Anyhow those two should invest in a good pair of ear plugs because the screams of girls around the country when they perform is going to be deafening. Congrats again, guys!
AMERICAN IDOL COOKS UP ANOTHER WINNER!

Big David wins! Last night (in somewhat of a surprise ending) David Cook was named the winner of season seven of American Idol. Big David beat lil David Archuleta by 12 million votes and was at a loss for words when the result was delivered, just barely getting out a an acceptance “Thank you guys. This is amazing. Thank you.” David wrapped up the finale by singing the winning entry in Idol’s song writing competition, Regie Hamm’s The Time of My Life. Congratulations!
IDOL GRAND FINALE: SHOW DOWN OF THE DAVIDS!
Submitted by Mary Beth on Wed, 2008-05-21 10:33.We saw them give their final performances last night and now we must wait for tonight's results show as the newest American Idol is crowned! My money is lil David Archuleta for the win; girls go wild for him, his song choices were on point (Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me was pretty spectacular and Imagine drove it home) and Simon declared it a K.O. in his favor. But however phenomenal lil David was last night, I think it's David Cook who truly deserves to win. Big David clearly has the chops and the experience (25-years-old rather than a naive 17) to be a true pop star, where as I see lil David following in the footsteps of another Idol finalist, Clay Aiken, and ending up on Broadway. Either way both Davids are going to go on to do big thing-congratulations and good luck guys!
