Christian Bale looked calm, cool and collected after a week of media frenzy and familial disputes.  Although initial reports claimed that Christian had physically assaulted his mother and sister, it was revealed that his police questioning was now to due to the result of a very loud argument.  Some sources are saying the incident started when Christian felt attacked by his mother and his sister after making comments about his wife Sibi Blazic while others are now saying that his family was asking him to help them get out of debt. 

Christian showed up to the Barcelona premiere of The Dark Knight like a trooper, managing a smile and even stopping to sign autographs. His co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal was equally delightful on the red carpet, looking completely stunning in a floor-length black and blue gown. 

     

Christian Bale (seen here last night at the London premiere of The Dark Knight) was released from a London police station today after he voluntarily turned himself in on assault charges placed against him by his mother and sister.  Christian denies these allegations and his rep has just released a statement regarding the incident-

"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

Christian Bale turned himself over to authorities in London this morning following assault allegations reportedly made by his own mother and sister. Christian's mother Jenny and his sister Sharon are accusing him of lashing out on them Sunday night at the Dorchester Hotel in London where they were all staying before the premiere of the Dark Knight.
His mother and sister filed a formal complaint against him.  Christian was allowed to go to the premiere with the expectation that he would turn himself in shortly there after, which he did.

Well, nothing like a domestic abuse to rain on your parade!  Just when were so excited for Christian's record-breaking numbers and seeing him spend time with his daughter, all this happens.  What do you think, is Christian a mommy-puncher or is this just a misunderstanding?

Christian Bale's latest Batman venture, The Dark Knight, totally smashed box office records this weekend.  The movie's opening now puts it at the highest grossest movie opening in history, taking $155.54 million dollars between Friday and Sunday!  So what does Batman do to celebrate his movie being a hit?  He takes his daughter to Starbucks!  We spotted the actor with his young daughter Emmaline on Saturday acting like the most normal family in America.  Congratulations Christian, we need more people in Hollywood like you!

     

On the weekend when The Dark Knight broke all box office records, Christian Bale showed us what a low key guy he is. Christian - who drives a black Toyota pickup, or borrows wife Sibi Blazic's old 3-Series Bimmer - stopped at an ATM to take out some readies. Then he and Sibi took their gorgeous daughter Emmaline to a gymnastics class. The youngster was cute as hell as she tried to climb out of the car as dad filled up with gas! Congratulations Christian.. The movie rocks!

         

It was a celeb studded red carpet last night as The Dark Knight premiered in New York City.  Christian Bale (Batman) and co-stars, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman were all on hand to promote their new film.  Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick were all there to catch new the Batman as well as reality star Lauren Conrad who seems to be on a different coast every day.  The Dark Knight opens in theaters on Friday but to check out a trailer click here.

         

Christian Bale stopped by the Today show this morning to talk about the new Batman movie The Dark Knight which comes out on Friday.  Christian went into detail that sequel is indeed a darker movie than Batman Beginnings however it explores the morality of what it means to be heroic.  Is Batman a hero, or is he an outlaw?  The choice is left up to the viewer but there's no doubt about it the action will be intense.

Christian also addressed the rumors of how Heath Ledger playing the Joker further pushed him into depression and drug use.  Christian simply responds that they are "rude" and insulting to think that the late actor could not separate real life from fiction.
