Looking like a scary Halloween character, Ben Affleck had photographers fearing for their lives when he turned up on the set of his new movie filming in Boston, MA.

At first the paps didn't recognise the actor dressed as a nun.

Then he whipped off his disguise...and they all ran off screaming to hide.

    

Ben Affleck gets into character on the set of his new project, The Town, currently filming in Boston, MA, yesterday.

Local boy Ben seems to be loving his time back in his home town and has been spending most of his free weekends with wife Jen Garner and their two adorable kids.

In the new movie, Ben plays a longtime thief tries to balance his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as the FBI agent looking to bring him and his crew down.

Last night Ben Affleck hosted his friends to raise awareness for a cause that's very close to his heart, the turmoil in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Children Mending Hearts organization focuses on art exchanges throughout the world and last night Ben spoke out on the millions of deaths in the country due to war and disease and Sheryl Crow performed while photographs were sold to raise money.

Also there to lend their support were; Marisa Tomei, Benji and Joel Madden, Alyssa Milano and Elizabeth Banks.  Jennifer Garner surprised Ben after his speech, slipping in to give him a kiss then leaving again to head back to her daughters.

       

Bearded dad Ben Affleck fulfilled his fatherly duties yesterday afternoon while picking up his daughter Violet Affleck from her Los Angeles school yesterday afternoon.  Violet looked super psyched to see dad as she held a bag full of sugar cookies; man, I wish that my day was filled with cookie making!

It's a rainy Wednesday y'all!  I think the West coast sent it our way, thanks guys!

Little Violet Affleck normally gets a lift after school from dad Ben Affleck, but yesterday afternoon both dad and mom Jennifer Garner were there to pick her up!

Ben carried the forever-smiling Violet away from her Santa Monica school while Jen walked next to them.  It's great to see Jen out and about and looking like a regular new mom!  It's nice once in a while to see celebrities acting like normal people and wearing sweatshirts and not feeling compelled to be super slim. 

    

Every gal needs a guy to obsess over and Ben Affleck, Justin Long, Bradley Cooper and Kevin Connolly provide just that in He's Just Not That Into You.

The boys all walked the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere looking less sparkly than their female counter parts but equally as charming. 

Ben recently told Extra that he's "definitely" a romantic, but that he and wife Jennifer Garner text each other about daily responsibilities.  "I correspond with my wife that way," he said, laughing. "She's like, 'Get over here. Pick this s--- up! It's time for you to go get our daughter!' "

Aww, love is real folks!  He's Just Not That Into You opens in theaters this Friday.

We spotted Ben picking up Violet Affleck from her Los Angeles school like he does every afternoon when his shirt lifted and got to sneak a peek at his undies.  I like his choice of Old Navy briefs...it's subtle DILF-iness. 

   

We spotted Ben Affleck and Violet Affleck looking like the cutest matching pair this afternoon.  Ben did his fatherly duty and picked up Violet at her preschool in Los Angeles afternoon; both were wearing dark tops and khaki colored pants (Vi went with corderoys). 

     

Why walk when you can get carried around?!

We spotted cutie pie dad and daughter, Ben and Violet Affleck, as they were leaving Violet's school in Santa Monica.  Ben is like Violet's own personal school bus-with door to door service! Hopefully sometime soon we'll get to see Ben scooping up Seraphina!

   

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have finally revealed the name of their new daughter who was born on Jan. 6, get ready for this- Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

Well, that's definitely different but much prettier than the borough-y Bronx Wentz.  Congrats, again!
