Actress Anne Hathaway got her wheels on in Hollywood yesterday as she filmed scenes from her new movie, Valentines Day.

The 26-year-old beauty showed she knows how to handle a scooter as she zoomed around on set, stopping short of pulling a wheely, much to the relief of the director.

The only thing she was missing was some leather biker gear, but she was certainly having fun, letting her hair down.

Anne Hathaway looked gorgeous as she posed on the red carpet tonight at the 81st Annual Academy Awards.  Anne is so shiny in her platinum mermaid-style gown that she looks like she could be the statue that they are giving away!

Anne has already appeared onstage tonight along side host Hugh Jackman in his opening number and is up for Actress in a Leading Role for Rachel Getting Married.  Good luck Anne?!

If Hollywood is one, big high school cafeteria, then the Oscar Luncheon is the epitome of the popular kids' table!

All of the 2009 Oscar nominees gathered at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel yesterday afternoon to wine, dine and bask in the glory of their well received work. 

Penelope Cruz, Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Danny Boyle, Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin and Taraji P. Henson all posed up with the giant gold dude before enjoying their crab cakes.

            

Yesterday had to be the longest (but also most awesome) day of President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama's lives.  In addition to non-stop events during the day, they then attended numerous balls!

We caught up with the peeps at the Creative Coalition Ball presented by Pepsi held at The Homer Building in Washington, D.C.. Anne Hathaway, Maria Menounos, Kim Raver, Rachel Lee Cook and Susan Sarandon got all gussied up and joined the party for Obama.

      

Celebrities are making the rounds on the awards circuit and last night's stop was at the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards Gala at Cipriani in Manhattan.

Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams and Dev Patel all came out to collect awards.  New parents Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, Salma Hayek and Josh Brolin and Diane Lane were also in attendance.

In addition to the excitement of awards season, celebs were also buzzing about the inauguration. Anne Hathaway told Entertainment Tonight, "I am going," she says. "I'm very lucky I got to attend the Democratic National Convention and the Creative Coalition invited me to come with them. I couldn't be more thrilled. I think we have such a wonderful man as our president now, and everyone is ready for change."

      

The ladies were lookin' fine at the 2009 Golden Globes!  Overall I was very impressed with how glamorous all the women looked.

Christina Applegate and Freida Pinto were glowing in gold gowns and Elizabeth Banks was sweet in pink.  Anne Hathaway, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hayden Panetierre went the opposite direction but were equally as lovely in dark dresses.  I can only imagine the big guns the celebs will bring to the Oscars.

     

Now this is the Anne Hathaway we're all used to!  The actress surprised us when she walked the red carpet for Bride Wars earlier this week when she looked nice, but maybe too toned down in a dark a suit and high ponytail.  However last night was a different story when Anne showed up to the 20th Palm Springs Film Festival Gala looking amazing in black, strapless gown!

Despite the fact that she has just starred in two movies about weddings, don't expect Anne to be getting hitched anytime soon. "Weddings have never really been my thing," she told People.  "I really have never thought about it. I just want a good husband."  Something tells me that girl will have no problem.

   

Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway took to the red carpet last night wearing strikingly different ensembles.  Kate when with a retro black and white mermaid style gown while Anne looked no nonsense in a black suit. 

Perhaps the actresses chose this look on purpose to compliment the theme of their new movie Bride Wars.  The movie tells the story of what happens when two best friends who have dreamed of their weddings their entire life plan the big day on the same day!  Bride Wars hits theaters this Friday.

      

Off with her head!  It's been announced that Anne Hathaway will join the cast of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.  The much buzzed about movie will pit Anne as the good White Queen against the volatile Red Queen played by Helena Bonham Carter (who btw, bears a striking resemblance to the Disney cartoon of the Red Queen).  The two actresses will join Johnny Depp, who will play the Mad Hatter, for the live action/CGI feature; this film is getting more awesome by the day!

Smiling ANNE HATHAWAY put on a brave face for the world today when she was asked on a morning TV show how she was coping with the shame surrounding her conman ex-boyfriend, Rafaello Follieri. Honest Anne confessed it was making her grow as a person. And her ex will certainly have time to grow...when he's locked up next week for multi million dollar fraud.
