Kate Middleton is spending her first will first married Valentine’s Day without her husband, which must be a bummer. Though she wasn’t sitting around moping about it today – the Duchess of Cambridge made a royal visit to a Liverpool charity that helps recovering addicts. She’s officially the Patron of Action on Addiction.

It’s nice to see that Kate’s picked some meatier charities to support. She toured an alcohol-free bar (yes, there is such a thing) called The Brink, where the charity Action on Addiction raises money and gives recovering addicts a safe opportunity to socialize in bars.

Kate of course looked absolutely stunning in a chocolate-colored coat dress over a black turtleneck. And she managed to look reasonably happy even though Prince William wasn’t there – he’s busy on a mission in the Falkland Islands.
