Pics! Prince Harry Supports Walking With the Wounded in London!

We caught up with Prince Harry as he was leaving the Bafta building this afternoon in London, where the handsome royal had just finished giving a speech promoting his newest patronage, Walking With the Wounded. The charity aims to put five men injured in war on Mr. Everest’s summit. Pretty incredible.

Harry spent a little time in an altitude chamber to experience what it would be like for the men at 16,404 feet above sea level.

The prince also noted that the expedition to the Himalayas gives hope and inspiration not just to the men training for the incredible challenge, but to all those who’ve sustained physical injuries during their military service. Walking With the Wounded isn’t just doing one big expedition – they’re raising money to train and educate thousands of wounded veterans to help them get back to work.

Harry noted, “The premise is quite simple: a job equals security. They have given their all for our security. Security is the very least as a nation we owe them.”

He also jokingly referred to the five men as “this crop of lunatics with odd numbers of arms and legs but staggering determination.”
