Kate Middleton was dressed to impress when she visited two disadvantaged schools near Oxford today. The duchess is the royal patron for The Art Room, one of the smallest charities in England, which helps children in need find a creative outlet through art classes. Kate assisted the kids with paintings based on “The Owl & The Pussycat” – even painting an ear on a cat for one little girl. Awww.

The duchess won rave reviews from everyone, with several teachers noting that Kate would have been an excellent teacher herself, due to her gentle, encouraging manner. And on a totally superficial, how much do you love Kate’s Orla Kiely shirtdress? Perfect for the occasion – and very sensible. It retailed for £162 – past tense, because it sold out within hours of the princess wearing it.

Of course let’s not fail to mention one of the highlights of the trip – Kate revealed that the black cocker spaniel puppy she shares with Prince William has been named Lupo.
