I wish Brad Pitt were always campaigning for an Oscar. Such pretty pictures. Sigh.

When we caught up with Brad he was leaving the Lehmann Maupin gallery in New York City. Not on any Oscar business of course (though that’s why we’ve been treated to so much Pitt lately). Brad’s a serious art collector – perhaps he made a purchase? Something that would look nice next to a golden statuette, of course.

In his bid for an Oscar, Brad filmed an interview with Inside the Actor’s Studio on Tuesday evening. And he made an awesome joke about what it takes for him and Angelina Jolie to get their six kids out of bed in the morning – a joke that I’m guessing a lot of humorless people are going to freak out over.

“Listen, I admit there’s times like, ‘We gotta get up. Get up! Here’s your shoes. Here’s your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!’ Just so we could get ‘em up and going.”

Those kids do have a lot of energy, even for children. He might not be completely joking.
