Poor Russell Brand. Is that what we’re going with? Perhaps it’s “lucky Russell Brand.” Whatever he’s feeling, we caught up with the newly-single comedian when he was leaving a clinic in the Soho neighborhood of London earlier today. And needless to say, he didn’t look very “whoopie, I’m free!”

Brand filed divorce papers on wife (of a mere 14 months) Katy Perry on Friday. Though all the gossip says they were both equally for the divorce; Russell just did the papers due to Katy’s fear that her super-religious parents would be more upset if she did it.

Word has it the pair didn’t have a pre-nup. What? Did they actually think their union would work in the long-haul? Strange. But that little mistake could end up netting Russell a tidy $20 million of Katy’s cash. Whoops.
