Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise ruled New York City this weekend – as they do most any time they’re in the Big Apple.

Mother and daughter had a busy few days: the pair took in a showing of Mary Poppins on Broadway, a bit of dining and shopping, then capped off the weekend by jetting off from a heliport.

You know, just like you do when you want to head out of the city. 

Though the temperatures were exceptionally frigid and windy, Suri was in a light and coat – and bare legs. Instead of bundling up properly, Katie resorted to their usual winter routine – bringing along a blanket and carrying the five-and-a-half-year-old.

Of course to be fair, it’s not like they’re walking long distances or waiting for a bus in the cold. Waiting for the helicopter is probably a much more luxurious affair.
