George Clooney is hitting the campaign trail… the awards campaign trail, that is. The season is just starting, which means it’s time to shake a lot of hands and kiss babies.

INF Daily caught up with gorgeous George as he was leaving Good Morning America. He’s busy plugging his two films The Descendants and The Ides of March for awards – and given the quality of the films and Clooney’s track record, it’s highly likely he’ll end up with several new shiny gold statues on his mantel.

On Saturday night at the Palm Springs Film Festival, George chatted about how he wishes the Oscar campaign were more like political campaigns. When asked how he’d attack BFF Brad Pitt if that were the case, he replied, “I would go at Brad about his height, he’s only 5’3″. And his drinking.”

Gotta love the guy.
