Seal and Heidi Klum are just aboslutely intent on breaking our hopeful, open, but honestly-sorta-dead hearts. Late last night Heidi and her mom Erna tried to hide behind the front seat of their chauffeured Mercedes van in Los Angeles. We snapped the first photos of Heidi since she and Seal announced their separation.

Meanwhile he was seen coming out of Encopass Digital Media Studio earlier in the afternoon – still wearing his wedding ring. Which makes sense, given the reports that he doesn’t want to end the marriage.

So what really went wrong between the two? Sources are saying it had a lot to do with Seal’s temper, and Heidi couldn’t take it anymore. There’s also been plenty of (literal) distance between the two, from her shooting Project Runway and him touring to promote his latest album Soul 2.
