So the good news: Taylor Swift no longer looks like a human-sized Bratz doll. The bad news? Even though she doesn’t look like an ugly sassy kids’ doll anymore, I’m not sure that Taylor’s new hairstyle is an improvement.

I’d promised myself for years that if Swift ever put down her crimping iron, I’d have a mini party at my desk and call her new style a major upgrade, no matter what it was. But now that I’m seeing it, I’m not sure if I can.

Is it horrible? No. But I don’t know… she sorta just looks like everyone else now, you know? Not like the Bratz doll look was something enviable, but she made it work for her and was known for it. Now if I flipped past her photo and it didn’t have her name on it, I’d think it was like “Unidentified Celeb #3.”
