Angelina Jolie has gotten a lot of flack over the years for her almost entirely dark wardrobe. It’s like she’s afraid a pop of color will literally knock her over. Sometimes she lets loose and mixes it up with a wild splash of gray, but generally speaking, that’s about as crazy as Angie’s color choices get.

Then… last night… without warning (catching my breath here), there it was: a blindingly white trench coat. Sure, it was paired with nothing but neutrals (thanks beige, you forever have a place in Angelina Jolie’s heart), but still! Later on in the evening on her way to dinner in NYC, Angie switched back to her monotone apparel security blanket. But for a brief moment, there was magic.
