Katie Holmes took a very lucky Suri Cruise to the American Girl store on Fifth Avenue in New York City last night. While Suri seemed to be in good spirits, she was making some very cranky faces on her way out of the store. It seems mother and daughter left empty-handed – rather unusual for a celebrity in a store. Perhaps that’s the reason for those upset expressions on Suri’s little face?

I’m guessing the trip was perhaps Christmas list-related and Suri didn’t entirely understand that. It was always a mixed blessing to go into a store during the holidays as a kid, point out all the things you want, but walk out empty-handed, with only the hope that you’ll get a few of those things in several weeks.
