J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff won the 13th season of Dancing With The Stars last night, and the elated pair took to Good Morning America today to show off their skills – and their trophy.

Martinez’s win is one of the best on the dancing competition – the war vet survived a landmine explosion in Iraq back in 2003. After he was pronounced the winner last night, he kissed and hugged his mom and asked her, “Can you believe that 8 1/2 years ago you were teaching me how to walk?”

Ricki Lake came in third, and Rob Kardashian came in a stunning second place, but everyone seemed happy with J.R. taking home the trophy. Kardashian told reporters, “I feel really good. I couldn’t have asked for anything better from myself. We gave everything we could. J.R. deserved to win that trophy. He worked so hard for it.”
