Breaking: Apple Founder Steve Jobs Passes Away

Apple has released the news that co-founder Steve Jobs has died, after a seven year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56 years old.

Until August, Jobs was the chief executive officer of Apple Computer, had co-founded Pixar, and was on the board at Disney. He was the creative force behind the iPod, the first ultra portable music player (no, your Walkman wasn’t truly portable). And the MacBook, the iMac, and waaaaaay back in the day, that little, amazing Macintosh computer that you used for bison hunting while playing Oregon Trail.

Jobs resigned from Apple just six weeks ago, telling the world in a letter, “‘I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.’”
