It’s clear who’s the real star on the Mad Men set this year: January Jones’ one-month-old son Xander. INF Daily’s photogs snapped the first exclusive photos of the adorable baby on the Los Angeles set on Monday.

It’s obvious January’s in love with her son – but it looks like John Slattery is vying for second place. He’s been Jones’ biggest supporter throughout her pregnancy. In August the boy who used to play her son on the show gave some advice to TV Guide to pass along to the child actor who will replace him. “Be careful around January. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.”

Slattery played the white knight, telling reporters “Well, it’s an intimidating character. I mean, that’s the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a seven-year-old boy [or] her son.”
