Russell Brand celebrated his birthday over the weekend. And, when you’re a celebrity, sometimes fans send you birthday presents. Well, one of Russell’s fans delivered 10 cases of bananas to Brand in a gorilla suit. Oh and there was a note too. It said, ‘Russell, Happy Birthday. I heard you like bananas. Love, John.’ Brilliant.

Ever the dutiful wife, Katy Perry took some of those bananas and made little cupcakes for her hubby. Russ posted a pic of her work on his twitter page. Katy has some interesting ideas for decorating the cakes. We’re probably not going to see those designs at Magnolia any time soon. But Russell certainly enjoyed them. And he is the birthday boy after all.
