We caught up with megastar Nick Jonas as he was arriving at the NYC launch of granola bar Quaker’s latest venture: a singing contest. If you’re a Jonas Brothers fan, it’s a pretty sweet deal. The winner gets a contract with Jonas Group Management, will record a song and web video that Nick will produce, and will take home $5,000 cash.

The downside? Well just one: the contest is called The Quaker Chewy Superstar Search. It just doesn’t read right. When we heard it in our heads, we thought, “Why would someone want a chewy superstar? Is that a nice way of saying fat? They’re searching for a fat superstar? Ohh… the ‘chewy’ describes the Quaker, not the superstar.’” Still… we keep imagining a squishy, malleable superstar.

And we’ll be getting an email from Quaker in 3… 2… 1…
