Whether you love her or hate her, there’s no denying the influence Oprah Winfrey has had in our lives. The Queen of Talk is formally abdicating her throne (who it’s being passed to is anyone’s guess. Please not the Real Housewives!) and Hollywood was there to help her celebrate.

We kind of knew Tom Cruise would be there but one big surprise is Oprah’s boyfriend Stedman! He was on the stage! And then Maria Shriver came out and thanked Oprah for her love and honesty over the years. (Did you just give a knowing look to your friend?) And then Aretha Franklin sang Amazing Grace. And Tom Hanks stood on his head, and Katie Holmes actually smiled. Will Smith did fart jokes, and Madonna flexed all her muscles at one time. It was a true cavalcade of stars!
