Lindsay Lohan Gets 14 Days House Arrest On Probation Violation, No Time For Stealing Necklace
Lindsay Lohan pleaded no contest for her misdemeanor charge of necklace stealing this morning. LiLo wasn’t in court, and sent her lawyer Shawn Holley instead. Lohan isn’t getting any time for the theft, just a bunch of insignificant fines. But pleading no contest is the same as guilty in the eyes of the law, which means Lindsay violated her probation from other charges.
For that, she’s getting 120 days – but she gets to do them at her million dollar home. She’s also got 60 days of community service, which she cannot do during the 120 days. Amazingly, Lohan will still qualify for “early release” from her home detention, and will likely end up serving about two weeks. And, we assume, she’ll be bitching and whining in interviews about how hard it was and how unfair everyone is to her. Poor kid.
Interestingly, the judge said she doesn’t believe LiLo’s problems are due to a substance abuse issue, but rather that she uses substances to self-medicate for other deeper problem. So she didn’t order anything in the way of addiction treatment – but she will have to complete a shoplifting course.
Once Lindsay completes her community service, she’ll no longer be on any sort of probation, and will be free to terrify the greater Los Angeles area once again.
Lindsay is shown on April 25th.
