Kate Hudson was on the Today Show this morning to promote her new film Something Borrowed – we know what you’re thinking. Kate Hudson in a chick flick about weddings? Who would have thought? The impossible is happening. Anyhoo, Matt Lauer just “happened” to notice a ring on her finger, asked about it, and of all the crazy things, pregnant Kate said she’s engaged to boyfriend Matt Bellamy. Who would have thought?

To be fair, Kate had said she and Matt weren’t planning on getting married, so it is a little bit of a surprise. But on the scale of surprises, 1 being a regular non-prego engagement and 10 being Jennifer Aniston getting engaged, this is still only about a 2.5. Still, congrats to Kate and Matt.
