“Smoking laws be damned,” Ginnifer Goodwin seemed to say when we spotted her in New York yesterday. The Walk the Line actress was seen lighting up while she tooled around the city doing promotions for her new movie Something Borrowed. Yup, that’s the same movie that also stars Kate Hudson. Only Kate’s been hogging the spotlight lately, what with her baby bump and that enormous diamond she’s sporting on her left ring finger.

Ginnifer was smoking on the street, not in a public park, so technically she wasn’t doing anything illegal. Yet. We have a feeling that it will be illegal on city streets soon too. And she wasn’t smoking around her new bestie Kate Hudson. If that were caught on film she’d have every mommy group in America boycotting her movies!
