Watch! Rebecca Black’s “Friday” Music Video Done Right

We’ve sorta avoided posting Rebecca Black’s epically soulless “Friday,” but we’re giving in. Because let’s be honest: 13 or not, that dimwitted little snot deserves to be mocked, with her thinly-veiled unfathomable smugness and the way she sounds like someone’s holding her nose when she nasally chants “It’s Friday, Friday, Friday…”

Becoming an internet legend in only a week takes something special. And by “special,” we mean flat affect coupled with Auto-Tune. There’s a difference between wholesome, bland, tween-appropriate pop music and utter sh*t that your parents should be smacked across the face for indulging you in. And when you’ve got the natural charisma of a stale bread crust chilling at the bottom of a toaster, maybe it would have been smarter to just keep quiet and doodle your time away in algebra class.

Luckily something good came out of Rebecca Black’s now-infamous backseat: parody videos! The harsher, the better. Rebecca’s promised the world via Twitter (well, we interpreted it as a promise) that she can’t tour because she’s only got one song. Don’t let that turn into an album! The internet must stand up for what’s right and put Small Wonder’s Vicki back where she belongs. So check out our favorite snide take or Black’s “Friday,” courtesy of actor/improviser/mean-spirited go-getter Ethan Newberry.
