Nick Cannon hit up Extra in L.A. today. What’s he promoting? The upcoming release from Mariah Carey’s womb, naturally. Nick might have something more official to chat about for ten seconds (turns out he’s there for the official countdown for the first chime of Kellogg’s cuckoo clock), but we all know the real reason is to fill in the world on his twins, who are dropping due in late April or early May. Who knew a birth/album release joke could work out that well?

According to Life & Style, Nick and Mariah are expecting a boy and a girl. Their PR reps People wants you to know that Mariah is doing nothing but perfecting her lattice top pies, smothering pork chops (not a metaphor), and hanging curtains in her babies’ bi-coastal nurseries. “’Last night we had smothered pork chops, collard greens, red beans and rice and a pecan pie with homemade whipped cream,’” Nick told the mag, along with “’We’re building nurseries in both L.A. and New York.’” Presumably the little bundles will exit the hospital in their own Swarovski-encrusted stagecoach, but we’re still waiting for an official confirmation.
