Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez dinned at Matsuhisa in Los Angeles last night – and refused to be photographed together, as usual. And by that we mean A-Rod absolutely would not be photographed with Cameron. We can’t blame him. Grumpy Joker is not appealing arm candy.

Word has it Rodriguez just bought a new apartment on uber-private Riverside Blvd on Manhattan’s West Side. According to the NY Post, the $6 million, 5 bedroom pad is much more secluded than his old place. It was a rental that the owner was trying to sell the whole time A-Rod lived there, which meant potential buyers were constantly showing up and “poking around too much.”

We’re sure that’s the reason. And not because he wants to keep Cameron hidden from view.
