Hugh Jackman suffered only a cut to his eye during a failed zip-lining stunt in Sydney this morning. The X Men star is down under helping Oprah Winfrey not-so-subtly promote his native country. But since Australians are adventurous, Hugh couldn’t just walk on stage. He’s obviously got to fall from the rafters or appear inside a ball of flames. Or zip-line from the other side of the Sydney Opera House.

We caught Hugh and his family at the airport in Sydney, probably ready to escape the semi-empathic pity expressions from onlookers. Not surprisingly, Jackman is wearing a super-dark pair of sunglasses.

As one Australian newscaster put it, “That’s how much we love Oprah. We’ll take our most handsome and talented man and we’ll chuck him off the Opera House and smash his face up because we love her so much.”
