First Pics – Kate Gosselin Drops Over $2,000 On A Haircut!

Kate Gosselin jetted off to New York City to get a haircut. And she didn’t go to just any old salon – Kate went where all the celebrities go – the Ted Gibson salon. A haircut there costs upwards of $175. But Gosselin had hers done with the man himself for a whopping $950. And that was just cut. She also had a keratin treatment and color done as well. She definitely needed it though – the guys at the UPS store were really starting to notice her split ends.

When you add in the cost of limo travel to NYC (for her and bodyguard Steve Nelid), paying for a hotel, meals, taxi fares, tips for drivers and not to mention tips for everyone at the salon, Kate could be out over $5000 on this little extravaganza. Gosselin offsets the price of her own haircuts by sending her kids to the local Supercuts in PA. She can get all 8 kids in and out for under $100!

This little bit of pampering would go unnoticed for anyone else, except that Kate has complained about her dire financial situation. And she’s suing her ex-hubby Jon Gosselin for back child support payments of $125,000. Well, pay attention Jon. We hope you like the new ‘do because this is what you’re paying for.

    Oh I hope this woman’s 15 minutes is almost up. She is the ultimate narcissist. Her kids need her, two have problems at school, and she’s tooting off to Manhattan for a $2,000 salon day? When does she spend time with her children? I watched her show once and never again. She has no joy or love in her heart with her brood: she just sees dollar signs. I predict multiple “Mommy Dearest” tell-alls and teen problems. She will reap what she has sown. I just hope that those children will all one day see a good chunk of change from the endless pimping out she has done to them.

    No amount of beauty treatments will ever take away the ugly that is Kate Gosselin.

    Does ted Gibson ever charge anyone for their hair appointments. Sage doesn’t seem to think so. I guess it would ruin her image of Kate if she actually believed that Kate was that incredibly selfish to spend thousands on her hair appointments. It would also punch some holes in that constant whine Kate has about needing money.

    I highly doubt that Kate paid for anything. Ted Gibson is on What Not to Wear, which is a TLC show. I would think Kate was there for cross promotion which undoubtably is in her contract, just like appearing on Sarah Palin’s show.

    As far as Kate suing Jon…if true…it is not because she can’t feed the kids. It is because Jon has a moral and legal obligation to support his kids. If he needs the support payments lowered because he does not make as much as before, that is his right and he should do that, but he still has to contribute to the kids support.

    When Kate is in NY and her picture is being taken by the paps….that is her job. She is there promoting Ted Gibson’s salon, and part of that is looking happy.
    When she is at home going to the grocery store or picking up the kids from the bus…that is her private life, and paps are an intrusion.

    I have been having a hard time logging in too. Don’t care too much for the new format.

    Wow…didn’t know it costs that much for your to look over-bleached, over-processed and still look like straw and fake. I would be pissed if I came out of a professional salon looking like that. I forgot Kate Gosselin likes to look fake and cheap. I guess that is why she needs to sue Jon for more money. It is also sad you NEVER see a smile like that when she is around he rown kids. I guess that smile is just saved for the married bodyguard if that is what you want to call him.

    Monty, You actually admitted that Jon has a JOB! For weeks you have been reluctant to believe that Jon has a real job. Well, now he does and it’s about time for you to see that Jon is trying. I think he has come a long way since last yr. and needs to be commended for that.

    Kate’s PR people call the NY paps and tell them where she will be and what time.
    Steve is with her, so he is “on the clock” working for TLC.
    Kate’s hair was paid for by TLC that is why her bodyguard is with her.
    Yes, the whole big group of paps get tons of calls, they run around to the specific places they are told to go to: so and so is here and so and so is there. They get calls from TV shows, they get calls from PR people, the get calls from wanna be types.
    It is a business and my husband makes a nice living selling shots he takes.
    Celebrities end up in those magazines, right? How do you think they get there, they are posing for paps, then paps get a bad rap. Why? Those celebrities, most of which aren’t even talented people, want to be in the magazines and on the web.
    Phony, it is all phony. The pig gosselin was posing on infdaily like she was walking a red carpet my hubby said. the paps were laughing afterward cause she is nobody now and will be less of a nobody next year.”

    Thanks gosselin for being there on time so my hubby didn’t have to stand out in the cold too long.

    I do believe that TLC PR called the paps as to her where abouts for the hair photos. I think it is rather crude for ‘hubby is a pap’ to call Kate a ‘pig’. As far as the paps laughing…I bet they didn’t laugh when they cashed the check they got for Kate’s picture. It makes you wonder who the real ‘pig’ is here.

    A while back she went around talking about how she wanted a new ring with 8 diamonds to represent each kid. That sort of looks like it could be 8 (sizeable) diamonds, in 2 rows of 4. I remember her telling Ellen all about it, and Ellen asked about the kids getting rings too, and Kate said they’d have to get jobs to pay for their own. My mouth hung open at that one – their labor pays for her ring but they have to buy their own???

    I don’t know, Monty. It sort of looks to me like the ring that she threw hints around about getting (probably hoping for a freebie) on at least 2 interviews I saw not so long ago – a diamond to represent each kid. I hope you’re right and it’s costume jewelry.

    I too would like to see him on his own, but some people are just not built that way. My husband’s sister (I refuse to claim her) cheated on her husband continually while married to her first husband. She had at least two LTR with other married guys in her office. She was finally outed and she had no shame about it all (and contributing to the demise of 2 other marriages) and ended up marrying the second guy. It’s sad, because how do you know who you really are when your identity is always tied up in a relationship? Plus, as a child of divorce, I can say that parents’ new boyfriends/girlfriends are very painful for the kids, no matter how happy of a face they put on. It sort of represents the end of the hope their parents will ever get back together. I don’t think anyone should remain alone forever, but I do wish Jon had waited and gotten his head on tight, instead of going from woman to woman. At least Ellen seems like a nice girl………

    I don’t think anyone should remain alone either unless that is their choice. I know that I am going to raise a firestorm here…but here goes. I think that Jon has always been unfaithful to Kate, long before TLC arrived on the scene.

    Ellen may be a nice girl..but she is young and naive. I truly believe that she is behind the tabloid stories as fed to her by Jon. I think that Ellen, when she is older, will look back on this time in her life and cringe at what she did.

    I also want to add that I think that Kate is not without her faults. She is not perfect and at times I think she could have been less abrupt and demanding with Jon. They were a couple who should have never happened.

    A $2000 haircut/style keratin treatment, free or not and you still have curly flyaway in the back and broken hair strands near the top. Ted’s not worth it if this is all he could do. They obviously did this as a ‘quickie’ or they just don’t care how they are portrayed in the media.

    I don’t know how serious you can take this guys recollections of what Kate was like when she was a teenager.

    As far as Kate not letting Jon see his family, I find that hard to believe. Jon has stated that his dad liked Kate because she ‘had goals’. There is also a video of Jon giving an interview when they were in Utah skiing. In the interview Jon states that he calls his mother every day. Also, at the sextuplets 3rd birthday Jon’s grandmother was at the party. In an interview with both Jon and Kate they stated that the grandparents did not want to be filmed.

    Kate is not perfect, but I don’t think that Jon was the perfect hands on parent that some of you want to make him out to be either. Jon fell for a young bubbly blonde Kate, when the kids came Kate grew up and Jon lost interest.

    Kate was born March 28, 1975. Her 21st birthday party would have been on or about March 28, 1996. Then….
    “Jon Gosselin met Kate Gosselin at a company picnic on October 5, 1997. (Remember this nugget from Kate? ‘Jon had a girlfriend, but she was gone the next day!’ Always the relationship buster-upper that Katie is.) They married on June 12, 1999″
    So, Monty, that means she cheated when she was 21, met Jon a year and a half later, when she was 22.
    By my calculations, 21 and 22 years old are not ‘teenage recollections’
