Demi Lovato – one of Disney’s teen queen stars – has dropped out of her tour with the Jonas Brothers and entered a treatment facility for “emotional and physical issues” according to her rep, who released an official statement to People. Apparently Demi was in some sort of physical altercation with one of her female tour members recently, and has decided to “take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help.”

Demi’s long been rumored to have some serious issues. There have been reports for several years that she’s a cutter, and People’s source says she’s also suffering from eating disorders. Everyone’s making clear Lovato doesn’t have a substance abuse problem, which would jive with most previous accounts of Demi’s problems.

It’s hard not to wonder what went down during this physical altercation, and if Demi’s really ready to get help or if she’s doing it for damage control. We’re guessing the “female tour member” will probably be talking to the press soon enough, so we’ll get some idea of what happened. Probably a lot of hair pulling.
