Traditionally, Tuesdays are the days on which albums are released. This Tuesday appears to be the day when most everyone gets divorced. According to Us Weekly, Christina Aguilera has separated from her husband of five years, music exec Jordan Bratman. The pair met in 2002 and married three years later. Us’ source claims they’ve been living apart for a while, and were more like friends than a couple.

“’They were very much in love … But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.’ Aguilera even ‘proposed their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.’” They have a two-year-old son, Max.

It’s been a bad few days for commitment.
