Hot on the heels of Laura Dern and Ben Harper’s announcement that they’re getting divorced, their good friends Courteney Cox and David Arquette have released a statement saying they’ve separated as well. Cox and Arquette have been married for 11 years, though they’ve both been fairly open about having struggled in their relationship.

For now it’s just a separation – sources say no lawyers are involved. Though according to Life & Style, David is already hooking up with Hollywood serial dater Jasmine Waltz. Name sound sorta familiar? She’s the same waitress who Lindsay Lohan claimed punched her in the face on Lilo’s birthday.

In May there were rumors that Courteney Cox was having an affair with her Cougar Town costar Brian Van Holt, along with persistent chatter that she and David have an open marriage. The couple has a 6-year-old daughter, Coco, and they’ve issued the standard “we’re still BFFs, please respect our privacy” statement.
