Kate Gosselin’s Bodyguard Steve Neild Has Never Worn Wedding Band

The internet is all atwitter about new photos that show Steve Neild, Kate Gosselin’s bodyguard (and long-rumored paramour) on vacation “working” with her in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - and not wearing his wedding ring. Do we finally have proof that Kate and Steve are knocking boots? Not so much. It turns out Steve’s just one of those guys that doesn’t wear a wedding band.

We’ve got pictures of Steve from May 15th, 2009 – before Jon and Kate split up – and he’s not wearing a ring. For as long as we’ve been photographing the Gosselins, Neild has never been snapped with a wedding band. Check out our assortment of photos of Steve showing his sexy bare hand below.

Interestingly, Wikipedia notes: “In Europe and in the United States in past generations, women wore wedding bands much more commonly than men did. Today, both partners often wear wedding rings, though for safety, personal comfort, or work-related reasons, a spouse may remove it from time to time.”

Who would have imagined Steve Neild was so old fashioned?

    Maude we’re going with when they officially announced their separation since it’s solid.

    The point remains that we spent an hour pouring over every picture we have of Steve Neild, and he’s not wearing a ring in any of them in which his left hand is visible. Nothing has changed in that regard.

    Not particularly, since Steve Neild’s lack of a wedding ring isn’t anything new. If it were, then we’d offer Splash props.

    They split up first around the time of the Cupcake-Gate episode.
    They even briefly mentioned this on the show or in an interview.

    The reason it’s written as prior to their separation is because people will argue ’till the end of time about when they really did or didn’t split up. We’re going with when they publicly announced their separation, because that isn’t something that can be debated.

    None of which is the point of the article.

    I also should point out we’re not saying Kate and Steve are or aren’t having an affair – just that the ring has not suddenly disappeared from Steve’s finger. Thus a lack of a wedding band isn’t proof that Steve’s marriage is over.

    It’s no big deal. Most of the men I know don’t wear their wedding rings. Some have lost them and many don’t wear them for safety reasons. My husband wore his for about a month and never wore it again because of the business he was in. He saw another person at his work lose his finger from a machine in which the ring got caught on so he decided to never wear it again. Since I was extremely secure in our marriage it was never a big deal. Men also outgrow their rings with the good meals their wives feed them. Steve not wearing a ring mean nothing especially since he hasn’t been seen with one forever. I’m sure Gina is very secure in her marriage with Steve. They both seem to be very family orientated and they are good trusted friends of Kate and her kids.

    Sally Steve is there as her bodyguard and I totally understand especially down in Mexico. That is one of the most unsafe place to go now. They are there for work so quit trying to start drama. It’s so ridiculous how people feed on this gossip.

She wanted the freebies and trips… So she kept on with the facade in order to grift more cash and exploit her children.

    If I remember correctly, I thought at the beginning he did wear his wedding ring and that was brought up on another site when their was first speculation of their affair. It was a big deal because he wasn’t wearing it later. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought this brought up early last year in 2009.

    I think Steve travels with Halitosis Kate for the $1600/day paycheck. She is clearly in love with him, but do you think anyone would find the stretchmarked, cellulite ridden, stinkbreathed, stupid, vain, bitchy, fat assed dude-woman attractive? She is nastiness. If he is doing her, might I suggest a paper bag for her head, an altoid for her mouth, and a clothespin for his nose? Gag.

    I doubt that Gina would give anyone an interview. She is much smarter than that. She has seen Kate’s words twisted every which way and she knows that certain people would do the same to her so she would be very smart just to keep her life private and her family private as possible. If there was anything going on between Steve and Kate the paps and the tabloids would have had some kind of pictuers by now. Too darn bad people have to turn everything into a negative. They act as if every woman that works for or with a man must be having something going on. Do they really realize how ridiculous they sound? I’m sure that Jessica on here would offer a perspective since I’m sure she also works for other men. I’m betting she would resent anyone accusing her of having an affair with co workers.

    Oh poor Peter Pan is the one that sounds like a bitter old woman. As for me I’m young beautiful with a gorgeous husband and kids. Sorry to disappoint you. I stick up for working mothers because it’s a shame some of you are obviously past your prime and probably never worked a day in your lives and never had to work to support your children. Because of the economy many stay at home mom’s have been forced into the work force just to keep a roof over their heads and they shouldn’t be lambasted by a bunch of busybodies.
